One day trip to Gunung Gading

Hello Bloggies.

Today, I will be bringing you guys go around Gunung Gading, Sarawak,  where you can see Rafflesia and also Pandan Beach, Sarawak. Well, why do I choose here instead of going around big cities. You know, some famous stuff. I personally love to go for adventure and love to stick with natural things. So, hope you guys will like it

Alright, so as I am currently a Uni student. I am broke FYI. Budget travel only lo, but I believe many people out there need a budget travel right? Am I right? No? Okay .___. Okay! Staph! So, I was having my mid semester break that moment. My friends and I decided to go for a short run away.
RUNNING AWAY FROM OUR ASSIGNMENT AND EXAMINATION
Well, actually we only decided to go for Pandan Beach, Sarawak and the Night Food Festival in City One Mall, Sarawak. All of sudden, my friend's friend(the one who do not want to hiking at first) FFK us, saying she wouldn't join us for the morning season. You know what, I was wearing shorts and tee and sneakers.
 SNEAKERS! SNEAKERS! SNEAKERS!
Because it's quite important so I need to mention 3 times. My friend turn to me and say " Let's go hiking lo". With my attire like this, I promised her. I always wanted to go for hiking in Sarawak mah. Never went before, been here for like almost 1 year already :( So, we depart from our Uni hostel at 9am. Then, we went to Tabuan Jaya's 24hour food court have our breakfast. I did not take any pictures, because that time I thought that it's typical food and not really that nice also. *I forgot actually*.
So after we have our breakfast, we start our journey to Gunung Gading!
It took us almost 2hours++ to reach there because we depart from Tabuan Jaya, which is quite a distance. Gunung Gading have the same way to go to Fairy Cave, Bau at first but there will be a separate way when we almost reach. Fairy Cave is located at Bau while Gunung Gading is located at Lundu. Don't worry, the road there is quite nice and do not worry about the traffic. No cars.

You need to be very careful for the signboard when you are almost there because there is a very small and narrow road to go inside the National Park. You will probably missed it if you did not look carefully because we missed.

Ticket for entering the National Park is RM10.00

I am going in as a local (Malaysian) citizen so RM10.00, I am not quite sure how much is it for Non-Malaysian as they did not put any ticket price there but don't worry, the staff there are very friendly. We lost our way that time, then we asked for help from their staff. They explained to us how the road will be like and how can we walk. 5 stars for them.

This is how it looks like. Inside. This is the place where people can stay overnight here because if you are planning to go for the peak of this mountain, it will exhausted and extreme but FUN.

This is the map at the starting point. As you can see, there are 3 waterfall and 1 reservoir. Don't make yourself confuse. They name their waterfall as Waterfall 1,3 and 7. The peak of this mountain is 7400m. We only went until 1100m, still consider as moderate but already exhausted. Maybe because I'm wearing sneakers *Try to give excuses*.  Alright so, as you can see there is also a Rafflesia Trail with 600m distance only. We did not went to hunt for Rafflesia because actually we were in a rush.
*Lesson learnt* Don't travel in rush hour. NO FUN.

So, we start our hiking to the first waterfall which is 600m. At first, the road is quite okay and very stable because I think they repair it with woods on the floor which prevent from slippery. On the way to waterfall, you can enjoy the 0 distance with nature. It was super AWESOME like it wasn't hot because trees you know. Trees produce Oxygen and because we are breathing rapidly when we were hiking and produce more Carbon Dioxide which produce heat too. Trees are here to save your life from being HOT. *Excuse me*.

So we took almost, 30 minutes to reach the first waterfall.

See the beauty. Not me, the nature.
It's quite a small waterfall compare to other mountain like Jangkar (next time I bring you guys go ah).
The water is so.... FRESH. I cannot, like it's so cold and sweet and nice. OMO. We stayed there I don't know how long maybe 30++minutes. Then we continue to the next waterfall. I don't know is it me or what but after a long period keep my legs inside the water, I felt like my legs fairer and smoother. Seriously, it's like after skin treatment. Nature free and healthy treatment. Imagine if we take shower there everyday. Woah, Goddess Skin!

So here is the second waterfall a.k.a Waterfall 3. Actually it's even smaller than the first one, but they got a big "pond" I don't know how to name it just right behind us. It's quite deep I think, not even dare to go any further. With all these nature surrounded, it is very comfortable and relax. Of course, we also have a small picnic there. I think we used 40 minutes to 1 hour duration to go up. When it's getting higher, the road is getting slippery and slope. Need more energy and stamina to go up. Also we are in a rush so, we only went until Waterfall 3.Will definitely come back and hunt for Rafflesia, will update you guys sooner.

On the way going down the mountain.
Small picnic. So basically behind me is the waterfall something. Quite small.

I think we used 3 hours for going up and down the mountain. 3 hours and we only manage to reach Waterfall 3. Waterfall 7 too tired for us. Almost 4pm we depart from Gunung Gading, then next station PANDAN BEACH! It is quite near with Gunung Gading. We took 30 minutes to reach there. Pandan Beach is located in the same area as Gunung Gading-Lundu. First impression in Pandan Beach was DAEBAK! The sea is greenish blue looks like Pandan leaf colours.

So nice isn't it? The sea and the sand mixed up so well. Good place to have a nice photography.

How? Nice righttttt?! In Pandan Beach, there are only 1 food stall selling snacks and drinks all kind of crunchy crunchy food. There wasn't many people because Pandan Beach is quite far compare to Damai Beach (if I go again I will show you guys). Local people usually will go to the Damai Beach as it took only 1 hour to reach but Pandan Beach took longer time for departing from Kuching city. We depart from Kota Samarahan which is where my Uni is took us 2 hours to reach. Quite a distance but WORTH!
Feel free to come here. Their nature here is AWESOME. This is my first travel blog so, if any mistake please tell me so that I can adjust adjust.

Gunung Gading National Park : AWESOME
Pandan Beach : AWESOME

Will definitely go back especially Gunung Gading to hunt Rafflesia. That's all from me. Thank you.
